Svella Connect has been actively recruiting to strengthen its senior management team and there are a number of recent important changes. Graeme Undy takes up the role of Managing Director, assuming the day-to-day running of the business supported by the refreshed leadership team.
A new business structure will provide greater accountability in terms of delivery and operations with four operational business units – Connections, Networks, Build and Openreach/West Midlands Combined Authority – each led by a Business Unit Director.
Karen McKenzie is the new Operations Director.
All Business Unit Directors will report to Karen McKenzie, who has been promoted to the new position of Operations Director. Neal Deacon, who has been appointed as Performance Director, and IT Director Craig Greatorex will both play key roles in business progression.
To drive accountability and control, we have aligned delivery and supporting function roles under each of the business units. We have strengthened our People team, which will support each business unit in recruiting, retaining and developing all members of staff.
Nicola Arrowsmith is Svella Connect’s new People Director. She is vastly experienced in working with large teams in fast-moving environments and, alongside dedicated HR Business Partners and the wider People team, will support each business unit in recruiting, retaining and developing all members of staff.
Gary Thistlethwaite is the new Safety & Risk Director. Gary and the wider QESH team will also align with the business units, to give each unit a dedicated resource to work with them on operational delivery and ensuring compliance and best practice.
