Svella Connect People Director Nicola Arrowsmith says she is extremely encouraged with the overwhelming number of colleagues who have shown interest in developing their personal skills and long-term careers with the business.
Nearly 80 people have registered their interest in Management Apprenticeships, which will allow anyone with management responsibility to achieve recognised Chartered Management Institute qualifications while developing their own personal skills.
“The high number of colleagues that have shown interest in developing their careers with Svella Connect is very refreshing,” said Nicola. “It tells us that we have many people in the business with aspirations to progress their careers by investing time in developing their skills and knowledge.
“This is the first of many apprenticeship opportunities in both operational and support areas for our people. They will help us fill skills gaps while also allowing our colleagues to develop and grow alongside the business.
“In addition to the apprenticeship initiative, nearly 70 people have applied for the Fibre Splicer training opportunity. Delivered in partnership with Virgin Media, the eight-week course will help us increase our splicing resource and enhance our service offering to customers.”
