A new online and mobile-accessible hazard and incident reporting system is set to help improve health and safety across Svella Connect – enabling all staff to ‘See It, Report It’ with ease.
Instead of filling in time-consuming paperwork, anyone with a smartphone or mobile device can simply scan a QR code and enter the details instantly into the bespoke app which uses drop-down menus.
Photographs can be easily uploaded and real-time reporting can be submitted anonymously, depending on preference.
The idea behind Svella Connect’s See It, Report It system is to prevent serious accidents or injuries by ensuring everyone has the means to report hazards, incidents, near misses and hazardous behaviours as soon as they are detected.
Svella Connect’s Safety and Risk Director Gary Thistlethwaite explains: “In the past, employees might have been put off from reporting potential safety issues because of the time it takes.
“See It, Report It means you can now do something about it straightaway. The system alerts the appropriate people in the company, enabling issues to be resolved as quickly as possible and keep everyone safe.
“You don’t have to give your own details, but we’d encourage you to do so because it means we can keep you updated on progress that has been made on your report.”
The QR code will be displayed prominently on posters distributed around all Svella Connect working sites and will be available in all work vans.
