We are thrilled to announce that Svella Connect has obtained LRQA accreditation for the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS), marking a significant milestone in our commitment to excellence and diversification.
This achievement was the result of four months of dedicated effort, led by our Safety & Risk Director Gary Thistlethwaite, and supported by the entire SHEQ team.
“I'm incredibly proud of what we've achieved in such a short amount of time,” explained Gary.
“The LRQA accreditation for NERS is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team. This was a huge undertaking, and everyone involved went above and beyond to make it happen.”
The NERS accreditation positions Svella Connect well to further expand its service offering into additional utility sectors beyond our established telecoms and fibre operations. This strategic move aligns with our long-term goals to diversify and strengthen our presence in various sectors, including energy, electric vehicle charging and other critical infrastructure.
The accreditation allows us to undertake work associated with the installation of electrical connections and we can design new connections to the network, dig and fill trenches on and around properties and install electrical switches and transformers.
Graeme Undy, Managing Director of Svella Connect, also praised the team's efforts, “This accreditation will help underpin our future expansion into growth sectors involving the building of infrastructure and networks around renewable energy, solar and EV charging.
“The dedication and hard work shown by Gary and the SHEQ team has been encouraging and the accreditation means we are better positioned to explore new disciplines and continue our journey of growth and innovation.”
Gary added, “The LRQA accreditation for NERS demonstrates our resolute commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. It also reflects our readiness to take on new challenges and expand our expertise in the energy sector. As we celebrate this achievement, we look forward to the new opportunities that lie ahead.”
