Svella Connect Drives Safety Culture With New Appointment

Digital and telecoms infrastructure provider Svella Connect has appointed a new Safety & Risk Director to further drive safety standards and embed an all-encompassing safety culture across the business.

Stephen Woolf will be responsible for providing leadership, support and guidance on health, safety, environment and sustainability operational good practice standards and legislation throughout the company.

Stephen’s extensive career in health, safety and environment (HSE) has included work within risk insurance and a non-departmental Government body looking after the legacy impacts of mining.

“I am looking forward to getting started at Svella Connect and hearing about everyone’s work, ideas and what they believe will help make our company an even better place to work,” explained Stephen.

“I think a great deal of the people and the organisations I have worked with and I have already recognised many of the same values here, I see great people who want to make a difference. My role will be as a coach, mentor and collaborator so it matters to me that Svella Connect is a place where everyone has a voice and feels valued and respected.”

Gavin Davies, Svella Connect Managing Director, said: “Stephen will be the main point of contact for strategic HSE requirements for our core project teams, clients, stakeholders, company insurers and enforcing authorities.

“His skills, knowledge and experience in leading HSE within projects of high risk, complexity and value across many sectors, including private and public, will be extremely useful to help raise our standards even further and help Svella Connect become a sector leader across HSE.”
