Svella Connect Leads The Way With New ISO Accreditation

Reinforcing its commitment to quality, Svella Connect has become one of the first businesses in the UK to achieve the new ISO27001 accreditation for its Information Security Management System.

After a rigorous audit process, the Kirkby in Ashfield site has achieved the new ISO status, which was released in 2022 to drive enhanced levels of quality across information security processes.

“This ISO27001 status really sets the benchmark for business and I’m delighted to say that we are one of the first businesses in the UK, across all sectors, to achieve this status,” said IT Director Craig Greatorex.

“The new standards came in last year and it’s thanks to the hard work by everyone at Kirkby, especially the IT and SHEQ teams, that we’ve been able to drive our quality processes to this level. The audit covers all areas of cyber security around firewalls, networks and servers, but also the physical security at the site around CCTV and access control to ensure our processes maintain the highest levels of information and data security around GDPR.

“This standard is required by many of our telecoms customers but it’s also good practice to ensure we evidence continuous improvement by constantly reviewing and developing control process. I would like to thank our Quality & Assurance Manager Darren Maydew for leading the management system Implementation and it demonstrates a commitment across the IT team and the wider business to protect critical data and systems.”
